Pan-Seared Bangus


  • 1 medium sized bangus sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp vetsin or MSG
  • cooking oil for frying


  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
  • Season bangus with salt and pepper, and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through.
  • In a pot, mix together soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and bay leaves
  • Add bangus and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until the fish cooked through and tender
