Bangus Sisig Rice Bowl


  • 1/4 piece bangus fried or baked, then flaked
  • 1/4 piece onion chopped
  • 0.13 cup scallions chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp chili pepper labuyo or Thai chili
  • 0.13 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup crushed chicharon pork rind
  • 0.13 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 0.06 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.13 tsp salt


  • Grill or bake the bangus until cooked through, then flake the fish into small pieces.
  • In a pan, saute garlic, onions, and chili peppers until fragrant.
  • Add the flaked bangus and stir-fry until lightly browned
  • Mix in mayonnaise, soy sauce, and calamansi juice.
  • Serve on a bed of rice and top with sliced green onions and a fried egg
